Privacy Policy

GigWA is a workers' organisation, not a business built on data. This page explains exactly what we collect and what we do with it. It is short because we do not collect much.
What we collect
- What you give us. If you fill in a form on this site, we collect what you type into it — typically your name, your phone or WhatsApp number, and your email address. If you tell us which platform you work on or which city you are in, we keep that too.
- What is collected automatically. Like every website, our server records your IP address, which pages you opened, and basic device information such as your browser type. This is ordinary web traffic data.
What we do with it
- Contact you about joining, and respond when you ask us for help.
- Understand which pages workers actually use, so we can improve the site.
What we never do
- We do not sell your information. Not to anyone, for any price.
- We do not share it with platform companies, aggregators, or employers.
- We do not use advertising trackers or sell access to you as an audience.
- We share information outside GigWA only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your membership details for as long as you are with us, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return. Server logs are kept only briefly and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely. Write to gigwaindia@gmail.com and we will act on it. You do not need to give a reason.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
